Marcella Meagher (b. in 1963) is first and foremost an Impressionist Painter. An Award-winning artist with works in Private Collections and Public Collections including Gallery and Museums. Marcella Meagher has exhibited Nationally and Internationally and has developed a body of work over the last 10 years. The works are distinctive with the use of vibrant colours and confident brush work, capturing light and shadows and movement of her subjects whilst painting from life.
Meagher’s art journey began from a very young age and developed over a life time. Working as a Graphic Designer in the family business for over 25 years gave this artist a natural progression to becoming a full time painter. Meagher’s work which ranges from landscapes to seascapes, still life to interiors has changed over the years, large works painted in her studio to very small paintings primarily plein air paintings.
Teaching has become an integral part of her process, taking on students one to one so they can benefit from her full attention, to teaching larger groups within her community. Workshops are a new addition to the artists process, giving live demonstrations to larger groups.
